Restaurants
A small selection of the many great restaurants in Port Jervis.
The restaurant at the historic Erie Hotel serves seafood, burgers, steaks, pasta and many other offerings in a relaxed setting. Sit in a booth in the main dining room, which is adorned with old photographs of the city and railroad lanterns. Get a drink at the bar and admire the craftsmanship of the late 19th-century bar back. When the weather is nice, be sure to get a bite to eat at the Erie's Tiki Bar. Check out their website for more information.
The Fox N Hare is a brewery and restaurant on Front Street downtown. Owners, Sean Donnelly and David Krantz, opened the brewery in 2018. The building was originally a bottling plant in the 1880's. They offer burgers, sandwiches, salads and sharable plates. Try a 4 ounce filet of smoked Salmon, from Samaki Smoked Fish on Jersey Avenue in Port Jervis, served with a side of Fox N Hare's delicious housemade Buffalo Brussel Sprouts. Order from their selection of about a dozen beers or try one of their cocktails. Check out their website for more information.
In 2018, Diana Bezanski and Jeff Tautrim opened Fogwood + Fig on Front Street in Port Jervis, a restaurant offering plant-based comfort food. Try the black lentil mushroom burger with chili cherry sauce or the chickpea flour "egg" sandwich with cashew cheese and smoked coconut crisps. Be sure to save room for a slice of their delicious cashew cheezecake. Check out their instagram or website.
3 Ninja's Express is Port Jervis' newest restaurant, located at the corner of Pike and East Main Street. They serve sushi and hibachi. Check out their facebook page for more information.
